Looking to rent a house w/ a boat dock on a lake around Austin or San Antonio for a week this summer. Does Canyon Lake allow houses to have private boat docks? Not finding any on VRBO, etc.
Went to LBJ last summer and go to Travis frequently. Would like to try something new. Any hidden gems?

As far as I know, private docks and boat slips are prohibited on Canyon Lake. Army Corps of Engineers does not allow them from my understanding.

You can also run into challenges as some of the neighborhoods have restrictions against short term rentals.
