Anybody ever had zebra meat? Sister in law is bringing me more elk meat and some zebra burgers tomorrow and I've never had zebra!

Turns out zebra is delicious...

I've never eaten zebra, but I'd assume it tastes like horse. And horse meat tastes ok. I had it as sausage and roast.....not my favorite, but not my least favorite either

Haven't had it yet. But when I ground check one on my safari I will get back with you. I'm betting their tenderloins are tasty.

Ive always wanted to try giraffe.

I have eaten zebra many times in Africa. Zebra schnitzel is a go to meal in Zimbabwe and Namibia hunting camps.

Was it a black zebra with white stripes? Or a white zebra with black stripes? White ones taste better......

I've definitely had some animals really surprise me (in a good way). Mountain lion and camel comes to mind.

I was going to get some from an exotic game ranch I hunted at last year, but I screwed up and stuck around drinking with the guides while they were skinning it. One of them poked a gut on accident and that pretty much ruined the appeal for me. I cannot describe the smell other than sheer garbage.

Which part of the camel? Some toe perhaps?

I had it in Africa as well. Was seared like a steak and served medium rare. Pre-sliced as part of a buffet. Was there a little over two weeks & we ate some of whatever hit the ground that day. The zebra was one of the best things I had. The kudu lasagna was memorable. Also if you eat nothing but venison for that long your poo starts to smell funny...

Much better than mooseknuckles I hear.

It's zebra patties so like a burger. Cheddar cheese and jalapeo bacon.

Whooping crane and bald eagle both surprised me.

Bald eagle is delicious. Tastes just like spotted owl!
