I cannot seem to find the previous recommendation. Who are the better guides?

Check out All Water Guides- Alvin D is the most fun, chill guide on the river! (Also a Yeti video star). He is pretty sought after, AWG has plenty of people that can successfully float the river. Dylan Mendoza (also AWG) played baseball at ATM and is a fun guy in the boat.

Just eased out of the water after a good morning wade fishing. Been a good season, have fished many weekends with much success. The water is low this season, great year for wading especially when cold outside (keeps 99% of people off river).

Thanks for the recommendation. I grew up in NB and have fished behind Lazy L&L on river rd as well has a couple hundred yards below the canyon dam and never had luck. Looking to book a trip with my dad.

Where do I catch a striped bass this size? I always thought the ones that got this big were a separate species, i.e. Rock Fish in the Chesapeake Bay.

State record striper used to be from the Guad. 53 lbs I believe

There are big stripers in a lot of lakes in Texas. The ones in the Guad below Canyon Dam get huge feasting on all those little stocker trout.

They have a great Instagram account too.

Little trout this year, nothing to see here! I hear they have some big fish on the San Juan that are fun to fish in the winter.
