How long do you want to ignore this user?
So I have a few questions if anybody has any familiarity with the Sitka Waterfowl products.
I just picked up a Sitka Hudson Jacket on sale for $325 after shipping.

1) I went with the timber pattern. Do you think this pattern will be too dark for hunting rice fields?

2) I am looking at purchasing another lighter jacket for layering under the Hudson.I am thinking Hoody so that I can use it alone in mild weather assuming it wont be in the way of hudson jacket when layering. I am not sure if I should buy the Gradient or Dakota hoody--anybody have any experience with either?

TIA

1.) I wear their waterfowl optifade and prefer it for all my duck hunts

2.) I have a Hudson or a similar one that is fleece lined... you do not need another jacket under it you're duck hunting in Texas (IMO).

I hunted the 23 degree morning last year and that jacket was literally frozen from throwing out decoys and I was still toasty with 2-3 layers underneath. Just thermal shirts and a Sitka pullover shirt.

I would just get the thermal long sleeve shirt. I wear it for early season hunts and then can use it as a layer later in the year when you shed the jacket after throwing out decoys.
