We have all seen the horrid bobcat mounts, wanting to avoid that so asking for recommendations for someone that actually knows what the heck they are doing with bobcat mounts. My brother-in-law used someone out near Austin and she did a great job, but I don't get out that way much. Would appreciate any suggestions for the Houston area??

Major Creations in Cypress. Have not used him for a cat but his guys did a great job with a deer and came highly recommended. You can see a lot of his work in his showroom.

Palermo Taxidermy in Bryan. Little bit of a drive, but well worth it. Especially with something as difficult as a bob cat.

I have a deer at Tri State (inside Beltway 8, just north of I-10) for a euro right now, not sure I saw a bobcat but there are some amazing african cats in there that he's done. He's an ag too, might be worth a call

Another vote for Major Creations. We had them do a deer, a pintail, a wood duck, and a pheasant. All the work we have from Major Creations is great.

This is your answer! I have 3 bobcats there right now. Alan does a great job. He had several completed bobcats in there when I dropped mine off and they were great. I looked at multiple taxidermist (B&B, Major Creations, Conroe, etc) in Houston prior to going to Palermos. Nothing matched the quality. Getting the eyes right is the trick. Everything else is relatively simple.

Agree on the eyes, that is usually what isn't to my liking on bobcat mounts, Palmero seems to have the touch on that. The ones on his website don't have that droopy eye thing going.
