I have enough Magpul magazines but tying to decide if I need some aluminum as well.

If "yes" to aluminum, where do I get them? Brownell's has their own brand on sale for $10.49 each which sounds like a good deal to me.

TIA

Brownell's AR mags have been flawless for me, and very reasonable $$

The aluminum ones work better in tighter lowers that you might struggle with using Pmags. The feed lips on the aluminum mags get bent and aluminum mags arguably get dirtier.

You might consider steel as an alternative, to stick on magnets.

Plastic=aluminum>>>>steel

Ask three dudes and you will get three different answers on which they prefer. And can back it up anecdotally.

Personally, if I were going for pure function, I would still take a basic GI mag over all. Though the plastic is just as good these days. Either or.

Not a fan of steel. Have never had any that I would call reliable enough to purchase in bulk. When it comes to pure magazine malfunctions, 90% of the issues I have ever had came from steel mags.

Just my $.02

I've gotten some metal ones with magpul's anti-tilt followers for 7-8 bucks before on a sale. Watch PSA website or anything similar and you should be able to get them under 10. I think gunbot.net even can track magazines and show you cheap ones.
