We launched our new Outdoors App in March at the NRA National Convention. I just wanted to invite you guys over to check it out.

Basically, it is Facebook for the Outdoors (Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Running, Hiking...etc whatever).

We are a few weeks away from a new toolset within the app for marking locations (Blinds, Fishing holes, Camp sits...etc), weather, Solunar...these things are part of the app today, but a major overhaul on the way.

We are relatively new obviously, but we have partnered with the NRA, BASS, Drury Outdoors, among others, and we are excited about expanding and creating new tools.

Anyway, figured I'd throw it out there. Oddly enough, there are a couple of other Outdoor apps also created by Aggies out there, and I have been speaking with some of them about ways to partner/integrate as well.

I got to watch her run last week at the Aggie Invitational, and everyone has been telling us that freshman don't really have much chance at the traveling team.

And now here I sit with no way to Georgia! It won't happen again!

User feedback: interesting concept and quality look/feel. Will be interested to see how it grows. One problem that I ran across was that the app crashed every time I opened weather on Android galaxy s8

So I downloaded this app. It definitely has a beautiful, simple, instagrammy feel to it, but I'm a little confused. Do my posts show up to the whole community, or just friends? How do I find friends? When I logged on, I was already seeing posts from folks I don't know.

Just trying to figure out if this is more like an Instagram where you're sharing with the community or facebook where you're sharing with friends.

Seems like lots of people using the app to sell stuff, or raffle stuff...not the biggest fan of that aspect. Or seeing a bunch of people's stuff on my main page that I don't know who they are.

Where is the feature to be able to set way points for hunting spots, blind spots, fishing holes etc? That is contained only to right or is that made public?

First off, thanks for the feedback. We are still pretty new, so still polishing stuff up.

Where are you guys seeing people selling stuff? I haven't noticed that.

We had feedback originally that when people signed up, they didn't see anything. We then shifted to making it so when people FIRST join, they land on the Welcome page. That is a PUBLIC page, so when you first hit, you will see what people are posting there, but your FEED should be relatively clean as you won't have friends yet.

In the bottom middle of the screen, there is a friends icon. If you click that, then you can start looking for friends. You will see 10 or so suggested people, and you can drag downward to get a refresh of 10 more. That is one way.

Also when under that FRIENDS icon, you can see Pages/Groups where you can join any of those public groups as well.

As far as the waypoints, that is on the bottom right under TOOLS. You can hold and drop a pin, give it details, and then check weather/radar whatever for that location. We are about two weeks away from a complete overhaul of that though. We are adding scent cones and a revamped weather view as well.

**Noted on the Android/weather crash. I will look at that right now.

Those of y'all on TexAgs that have accounts what are y'alls usernames so I can have some friends. I got 3 requests overnight but no clue if it's anyone on here or just random people who like lots of friends.

Also we should start a TexAgs Outdoors group....just a thought

That means other users cannot see the waypoints. But anything you do on this app can be seen by staff you have to know. If waypoints are a concern keep them on your own device.

Right. We aren't sharing waypoints. It is essentially similar to HuntStand and similar apps.

What do you mean by "can be seen by staff?"

I am staff and I can't see people's waypoints. I suppose with some digging into the code I could find a way to see that, but we haven't implemented anything that would allow admins or any other user to see other people's waypoints.

Ok so how the hell do you search for groups...or do I need to just keep refreshing the group page until the TA group appears?

You search for groups/pages/people by typing in that top search bar

I was trying to search from the friend tab since that's the first place I saw groups listed. Totally missed the search bar on the home tab

How do you make someone stop friend requesting you. I don't add people just for the he'll of it. I keep getting requests by Lower Side or something. I delete it and then bam it comes right back again

Never really had that issue cpsencik04. It is new, and the community is small so people have been encouraging each other to friend people.

Lower Side Creative is probably who you are talking about. Not sure why it would keep popping up over and over. Nice folks though. ha

I'll check on it and make sure it isn't some big or something in a table that is causing that. It is more likely just an overzealous outdoorsman trying to friend everyone they can.

Hannah Barron made a post about her coming to YUDU on IG and FB last night, and that hit us pretty hard. It caused a traffic spike like nothing we had seen before. It was fine...we just weren't expecting the traffic. So some of you may have gotten quite a few notifications that would not be normal on a daily basis.

Not complaining! Love that she did that...just didn't expect her entire following to jump in at once. ha

That is who it was. I just blocked them. Fully believe they're good people but not interested in random people

I guess what I dislike as I've been using the app is the majority of people who are outdoor company owners trying to peddle their brand rather than just a group of people sharing outdoor talk....like this board.

I downloaded the app, but everytime I try and open it, I get a message saying "unfortunately yudu has stopped "
Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Should I uninstall the app and download it again?
