Looking for something to go on the nightstand, prefer biometric (only if possible) access. I see one from Hammacher Schlemmer that looks good. A couple by Liberty( through Cabelas) tho several bad ratings. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I just got a Gunvault biometric this week from Costco. Less than $90 shipped to the door. It was pretty easy to set up the biometrics and it can hold numerous prints for multiple persons to access. More than enough space inside for my 1911 and it came with a magazine holder that straps into the lid that will hold 3-4 mags. Can be bolted to nightstand or wall via 2 holes in the bottom or it can be secured with a security cable that was included.

Very interesting. I'll try to drag me feet on the carpet to work up a charge. This one is bio or key, it has no combo.

I have a gun vault biometric and never had any issue with static. I have had it for probably 8 years and it has never reset itself.

I got the Viking Security Safe on Amazon for about $170. It holds 4 pistols and some travel docs. Perfect for multi use and the biometric is spot-on

I "decided" on a Stealth Tactical Original Handgun Safe months ago but had too many other things going so its still on my "gift to myself" list.

Supposedly, (according to reviews online) you can open it super-fast with the push button combination you set and dont have to deal with batteries.
