I was just hired on with Anadarko as a lease operator and will be working around Mentone. I have decided that I will be buying a fifth wheel travel trailer to live in for the 14 days a month I am out that way.

I really like the Sundance, Elkridge and Arctic Wolf rear living models. It will just be me in the trailer so I don't need or want a bunkhouse, there is no point in a model that is capable of sleeping a bunch of people as I would rather have more living space.

With that being said, what RV sales lots in Texas or the surrounding states has the OB dealt with? Was it a good/bad experience buying from them and would you recommend them to another person?

Can I find a deal on a new 2016 or 2017 they are trying to move off the lot? Is Funtown RV really the lowest priced dealer in Texas, they just seem so pushy and i hate that?

I am willing to drive a good ways if the deal is good enough, so if y'all have a place in Louisiana or New Mexico that y'all really enjoyed dealing with, I am all ears. T.I.A.

Aloha RV in Albuquerque did us right, I think. You can register your trailer with NM tags, even as a non-resident. Saves you some $$$ over Texas tags. The libertarians will be pleased to know that Gary Johnson passed that law.

Check out PPL motorhomes. Their main lot is in Houston, but they also have a location near D/FW.

Bought mine at Tyler RV. They gave me a very good deal. One thing to consider is distance you have to drive to get service. Most service centers are going to take care of the customers that purchased from them first, then work on other people's trailers. Or at least that's the impression I get.

PPL in Houston is good. My parents just bought from them and just recently they bought from Motor Home Specialists and enjoyed the experience.

I have a great Shasta Oasis by Coachman that I really need to sell. 2002 model with new 15,000 BTU ac four years ago. Queen bed up top, couch that makes bed dinette slide out. Been to Colorado 3 times and deer lease rest of time. I had the water tank enclosed so that it would not freeze. (I hunt in the Northeast Panhandle. Tires are great. VERY CLEAN and NEVER smoked in.

Any interest in a monoco caymen? My FIL has one he wants to get rid of.

Thank you for the offers on the units that some of y'all own but I have decided to go with a new trailer since I will be living in it for half of the year, something with warranty is important to me.

Have you checked the Tolliver RV that's opening in Stanton?

I haven't been through Stanton in a while. Do they have a bunch of inventory on the lot? I looked around their website and they didn't show to have anything listed under the new inventory page.

It's a little farther away but I was always told that Arizona has the best deals on travel trailers and RVs from all the old people who retire there, then pass some time later. Apparently these things are a big enough PITA to deal with so the heirs a lot of the time will sell locally over there.

I have a 33ft 2016 Wildwood by Forest river that is comming up for sale very soon. Its a bumper pull, not a 5th wheel. I am willing cut u a nice deal on it. We bought it and havent used it as much as we want to, so its time to cash out. Baught it 2 aprils ago brand new. Approx 2500 miles on it now. VERY CLEAN. Everything works flawlessly. Like new. Some very nice amenities. 1 big living room slide.

If it suits you, you can get into this one a ton cheaper than buying new.
Has always been kept in fully enclosed storage.

Just picked up my new 2018 Heartland Cyclone from Tim today!
Gave me a great deal. Lower than all the dealers I shopped in North/Northeast TX.
