Looking for a male and female brother and sister catahoula puppies. Anyone know of any good breeders for such a dog in Texas? Preferably San Antonio/ Austin Area?

If you want hunting or herding dog it's hard to go wrong with Mr LaBlanc in new Iberia Louisiana. On a waiting list with him after doing some research of breeders in the area.

Mine wasn't pure Catahoula (1/2 Lab) but she was the best dog I ever had the pleasure of loving. Sweet as can be, and murder on pigs. Had to say goodbye to her earlier this year.

Second on great dogs. Ours was half Catahoula and half blue heeler, would do anything we wanted from herding, hunting and then being a great family dog

She was almost 10 when we put her down. She ended up with severe arthritis, and even though her mind was sharp as ever, her body was failing her.

Yup. If it was furred or feathered, and tried to run from her, it generally didn't well.

Great dogs. We have had several. I would advise against getting siblings. They usually will have a difficult time developing a social order in the pack.

We had a male that looked like your female. Great deer dog and very smart. Loved to sit in a deer stand and watch the deer. Loved to go dove hunting and would bark at a shooter who missed. Loved to watch tv, especially baseball. He was part of the family.

Cant help you there, but I have a pregnant goldendoodle. They are good dogs.

I believe its P&D Quarter Horses in Rocksprings. A buddy of mine got 5 dogs from her rece3ntly ( last December) and I was impressed with their conformation, etc.
I got all of my dogs from Don Abney in Abita Springs, La. I can't say enough good things about my dogs.
I will say this though, if you don't know how to handle dogs and train them ( ie. buy the yuppie lab and hope he behaves) don't get a Catahoula! They are incredibly smart dogs that will run your life if you let them!

Forgot to mention the pups are NALC registered. These are the best dogs I have ever owned. The male's father is a proven hog hunter as well. Supper people dods and very easily trainable and loyal. You will not be disappointed.

I've had Catahoulas now for over 15 yrs and would not change.
However, been thinking about breeding my 90# male to a Malinois *****.
Can you imagine what that cross ( Catanious or Malinhoula ) would look and perform like?
