Anyone have any experience with Honda UTVs? How do they stack up against the Polaris/Kawasakis?

I'm looking at a used one, and I don't know much about them.

I've got a Honda pioneer 700-4, my dad has a Honda pioneer 700-4 and a buddy on my lease has one as well. I've got nothing bad to say about any of them. I've got around 2,000 trouble free miles on mine and it's a 2014 model. I haven't had to do anything to mine except change the oil and buy 2 new tires. It won't go as fast as the Polaris ranger or razor but it goes plenty fast for me. I would buy another one again in a heartbeat.

Unless they changed them, they were the same motor and transmission used in the Rincon. I know I bought the gears for the pioneer to replace the ones in my rincon to give it more low end grunt.

I wish they'd make a more traditional 4 seater as opposed to the convertible one.

I have a buddy that's owned Polaris, Kubota, and Honda.

He swears Honda is the best out there.

I have the Polaris XP 900 and love it.

Used jap 4x4. Half the price, faster, can tow more, street legal, may have air conditioning working, protects you from the weather, can drive tens of thousands of miles trouble free, can pull harder, can carry more, etc.

UTV pale in comparison. I don't know how they became so popular.

I have owned Yamaha, Polaris, can-am, Kawasaki, and Honda side by sides, and have put nearly 50,000 miles on them combined. The Honda seems to be most reliable, Kawasaki was most comfortable ride, can-an was fastest. The only one I would NOT recommend was the Polaris. It was constantly in the shop.

That's what I would buy, can't beat Honda reliability. The older ones have a conventional automatic and the new 1000s, have a dct transmission. That alone would drive me away from the cvt competitors.
