I have some areas in my yard where St Augustine has crawled in to my Bermuda grass. I have some weeds there too. What would be safe to spray those areas with to kill broadleaf weeds?

The two species react to the same herbicides, unfortunately. I have the exact opposite problem- wild Bermuda invading my St. Augustine. I mow it tall and water frequently for that reason. Bermuda tends to be more drought-resistant than St. Augustine, so less watering and short mowing will kill off the St. Augustine.
MSM can be tough on trees if used improperly.nactownag said:

Guaranteed to work.
I have tried it all. This is the only thing I've found so far that is effective every time. Mix it, spray it and give it a week or two before seeing results.
I was told that Floratam has maroonish runners after it matures a year or two. Mine does.discobrob said:
bump. Got some nasty weeds in a mixed yard this year. My yard has St. Augustine and Bermuda. Maybe some Floratam (how can you tell?) the Bayer advanced for Southern Lawns says it will kill Floratam. I would hate to kill my yard because I mistook Floratam for St. Augustine.

FlorTam is simply a variety of St. Augustine - like Raleigh or DelMar.. Watch your labels carefully. I have used the Ortho hose-end sprayer premix FOR SOUTHERN LAWNS with good success on FlorTam. ALWAYS add a tablespoon or two of Dawn to the container and mix before hooking it up.discobrob said:
