first time hunting there. The guys on the lease say its the 3rd week in December. That seems a little late to me.

anyone hunt there or close to there?

I hunt bracketville every weekend. The young bucks were chasing last weekend and I think it's going to be on big time this weekend with colder weather. In past it's always been in between thanksgiving and about 12/12. Last year it was full out balls to the wall 12/6 when I killed my buck

My dad works in Brackett and he said that they are just starting up right now out that way.

He said he saw a damn nice buck just west of Brackett yesterday morning, that was oblivious to the cars that were coming down the highway while he was crossing 90.

Late. I shot a buck down in Kinney County about 10 years ago in the middle of the rut on New Years Eve

The rut is about 2 weeks late this year. Camp Wood / Uvalde rut was insane last weekend. It should be on like Donkey Kong next week in South Texas.

Yes it was full out 12/5-12/7 I killed two great mature bucks in full rut. How do I post pics from my phone?

imgur.com don't use the app, it's screwy. Select upload image from device then choose which pics you want to upload. Once they are uploaded click the drop down menu and select BBcode. Copy and paste that into the text box on Texags and post.
