Weren't they started by the previous Lucchese owners after they sold the company? Something kind similar to Bushmaster and Windham?

Have one pair of Black Jack full quill ostrich boots pretty close to style #961 but with a Texas Ranger star on the upper.

Love them. Beautiful skin and solid construction. I would place them easily above the Lucchese 1883 but below the Lucchese handmade or Leddy's. They used to be reasonably priced, but the prices have gone up enough that my last purchase was Leddy's.

I have 4 pair, great boots. Started by turn guy tha was in charge of the hand made division of Lucchese for 20 something years. When Justin bought them out they changed the process and the quality so he quit and started his own company. My elephant boots by them are the best shoes I've ever worn
