Anyone aware of a coupon or promotion which Cabela's puts out somewhat regularly? About to make a $1,000+ purchase from there, and would like to shave a little off the total cost if possible.

TIA!

I'm unaware of anything that's going to help you a lot on a purchase of that size. They occasionally have a 10% off type coupon, but most of theirs are Get $20 off $150, etc. I got a catalog yesterday that said get a $50 Cabela's Bucks certificate on a purchase over $200. ...but you're not getting anything extra for that extra $800 in purchase.

Forgot to say, for that $1000 purchase use Active Junky. They are a cash back site, usually with 6% but sometimes up to 12%.

i get text messages from them usually at least once a week with different coupons and promos. right now its 20% off select swarovski optics.

Also, if you have a membership there, they occasionally have coupons as well (or points from your previous purchases)

I think I mis-spoke, it's not a coupon (with a code per se), but is on the front of their most recent circular and a deer hunting catalog I just got. I think it may be good in store only because it has a "some limitations, see store for details" tag line at the bottom.

I think if you go to this page, select your local store, and then look for the "Big Buck Days" flyer it'll be right on the front. It definitely says "in store."

Download the app called "honey" and link it to google chrome. It automatically searches the web for any promo coupons and applies automatically to ensure you get always get the cheapest price.

You're welcome.

P.S. Thx sean, my english teacher GF would have a fit lol

Well done fellas! Looks like through the "Big Bucks" ad starting tomorrow, the generator I'm looking at should be about $200 less by waiting a day.

Sean98 for the win! (and the grammar lesson )

Well I feel better already! I didn't think I was being particularly helpful. ...I mean, aside from the grammar lesson.

You can knock another 15-20% off that price if you purchase discounted gift cards and buy from Cabela's via Active Junky

...soooo, if I purchase through ActiveJunky, but still use my Cabela's credit card do I get to double up n the points and the 6% cash back?

If you're law enforcement or know someone who is, have then buy what you're looking for. LEO gets a better discount than their employee pricing. Just check out at customer service and show them a badge and they'll apply the discount.

I don't have a Cabela's CC so I'm not 100%, but Active Junky is just a middle-man / referral website that gets a commission for sending customers to businesses (and then refunds a portion of that back to the customer). I think it should work for you, since your CC is being charged by Cabela's and not Active Junky.

Buy used gift cards here

They are 12% off.

Sort the list by "Save" column, and there is one guy that has (15) $100 ones at $88 a piece, that saves you $120 on top of whatever coupons or other discounts you get.

They do 5% military if that applies and you still have an ID, hell half the time they don't even ask to see it.
