Anyone got any pointers? My family is a salwater family but we may give LBJ a try this weekend. Lures? Bait? Locations? Hell, species (bass, crappie, etc.)?

It is still slow on LBJ. While we fish Horseshoe Bay area, I am sure it is the same in Kingsland. Most people I know that are catching are fishing at night. Some luck on crappie tubes if you can find some brush piles. While slow, any day now it will pick up.

Lots of bass in the lake. Always caught a lot of fish flipping Texas-rigger worms up under docks.

Never was a whole lot of size on the fish, but caught a bunch.

Buchanan is on FIRE right now for striper, whites and hybrids. I would think it's only a matter of time before LBJ picks up.

A fisherman using some pink spinner caught a 3-4 lb Black out from under my boat slip at about noon on sunday. fishing the edge of shade.I'm across the Llano arm from Kingsland near where they shoot the fireworks.

What flavor (color) worm is your go to? I would assume something light since the water clarity is usually pretty good in those lakes.
