It's take over my entire back yard over the summer and just popped up in the front yard. To say it spreads fast would be an understatement.

We're in the same boat. Hit it with a broad leaf spray I already had hoping to get lucky and it just laughed.

Pulling it causes the roots left behind to sprout another plant and it's pretty resistant to chemical control.

If so, I think fire worked for Hercules. Try that.

Any broadleaf weed killer should kill it, but it may take a few applications. Add a surfactant to the spray.

10oz of Celsius will go a loooong way

You must be a fun at parties.

use a product called Crab Grass Killer produced by Agra Lawn. Can't find it at big box. gotta go to mom and pop. I get it at Kingwood Garden Center.
It's a powder and I swear it looks almost just like it's baking soda and cinammon. Wet the plant and then sprinkle it on. Might have to spray lightly with water after to get it activated.

Caution, it will knock out some of the st augustine blades as well. But doesn't really hurt the grass too much and bounces right back.

It looks the same as what I have and mine have runners. I lift the runners up and kind of ball together. Put a towel underneath it and then use spray bottle to wet with water. Sprinkle, Wet again a very tiny amount. This keeps it from getting on the st augustine.

it burns up the weed quickly!!!

obviously I've done the same for crabgrass and it works just the same.

That stuff has recently passed crabgrass on my list of mortal lawn enemies. Catching up to nutsedge.
