Komodos. Isn't that what the band Rush used to wear?

Awesome! It really does come with most of what you need. The only accessories I've bought are a Bluetooth digital thermometer and a pizza stone.

If you buy a stone, make sure you get a thick one made for outdoor grills. The thinner ones will crack. I have a nice, heavy Broil King stone I got on Amazon that works really well.

You'll be dragon that one home if you don't have a truck or trailer.

Ha, yes, poor spelling in my original post is noted.

Any other noob advice would be appreciated.

Check out www.kamadoguru.com, www.nakedwhiz.com, and YouTube for great Kamado recipes and cooking tips. Find the know your Joe videos on YouTube (there are links on the kamado guru forum under the Kamado Joe subforum) to get a good intro on setting up your KJ, starting fires, controlling temps, and basic cooking.

Besides your pizza stone, you will want to get 4 copper elbows. You put the elbows on top of the head deflector, and your pizza stone on top of the elbows, to let air circulate under the stone and keep a more even temperature. You will want a pizza peel too.
