I've raked out the dead grass. I've sprayed with a fungicide, and I've spread out peat moss over the areas. Anything else I need to be doing?

Don't water in the evening/at night.

Assume brown patch? Because that peat moss isn't gonna help with other funguses.

In the meantime, don't fertilize and be real careful about your water usage in that area. Also, couldn't hurt to spread some real good compost over and around the area.

You sure it's not chinch bugs?

Bet it is chinch bugs this time of year. Way early and too hot/dry for fungus.
Treat with any of the many of liquid bug-o-codes followed by a granular. IF you are sure its fungus ..same thing, hit with a liquid and follow with a granular . If it is fungus then it can only be take all patch at this time of year and your lawn is dead till next year.
Important to kill it now be then critter or fungus.
On second thought ....This is GRUB time of year. Probably grubs. Many many grub killers available.

I assume you are in S Texas

I'm in Central Tx. I live in a new subdivision and the president of the biggest landscaping company around here stopped by and told me it's a fungus. He said that that builders don't typically do a good job of spreading the topsoil and it will always have low areas (which he is right. I can see the low spots in the yard). He said with all the rain we had in May and Early June, he is seeing a lot of fungus problems in our neighborhood
