We just got down and settled. I'm going to launch at Ernies this afternoon to fish the falling tide at Churchill's Bayou and see what's up.
I'd like to get out tomorrow morning, but I'm on the hook for breakfast at the house, so it will depend on if I can convince my wife to cover it.
ConstructionAg and I emailed about hitting lights Wednesday night, but we didn't finalize that night or a location. Did you want to do Jamaica and stick close, or run and look at Tiki? Weather forecast looks to have changed, so depending on what's happening there, that may kill that plan.
I'm playing pretty loose with my plans, so if you guys are wanting to head down put a day out there and we can figure out the logistics.
You may have good luck in the lights, but if Highland Bayou is on your list of places to check out on the north side I'd scratch it. I launched at Louis Bait Camp a few weeks ago and paddled into the marsh on the other side of the railroad bridge only to have a crabber run right by me and shut the bite down. On this particular day the wind was blowing too hard to get out on any unprotected water, so I was stuck with a long paddle back to the launch with little fishable water along the way.
