Hitting Ft.Myers for a week in June. Anyone have a guide they recommend? Prefer inshore or backcountry. TIA.

I live in Fort Myers, but I've never used a guide here. If you don't mind driving an hour+ south, there's some great backcountry fishing in the 10,000 Islands and Everglades NP. Andy Lee (Grassroots Guiding) is a good option for fly fishing out of Chokoloskee.

Also, any of the beaches throughout Fort Myers, Sanibel and Naples will have extremely shallow and catchable snook. You don't need a boat or a guide. Just polarized sunglasses and a white clouser or mirrolure. The snook will swim right up to people, but won't bite unless you spot 'em before they spot you. Good luck!
