I am in the B/CS area and I have found 2 companies that do these. Texas Customz in Bryan and Texas Truck Riggins in Bryan. Has anyone on here used either one of these companies and if so how did you like the work they did? The last Spray-in Bed-liner I got on a truck was 13 or so years ago and today it does not look all that good.

Any help on this would be great!

Thanks!

Line-X is the only way to go. Not sure which of those/if either does it, but drive to Houston if you have to. It's worth it.

Ive got a Line X in my 10 year old Silverado. It's held up to loads big rocks being thrown on it, hauling deer stands and protein feeders, my boy hacking at it with a hatchet and other normal wear and tear. The only thing it didn't hold up to was when I put a small BBQ pit on the tailgate and cooked steaks on it. A spot about the size of a football melted & caught on fire.

Line-X. If you want it pretty, do the premium. Mine is still shiny 4 years later

Depends on how hard you're going to use it - I agree that Line-X has always seemed to be the best option out there but there are not any dealers here in B/CS. I think Spring or Waco are the closest options. My current truck was done Texas Customz as I had the dealership pay for this when I bought the truck (so not sure on price). Only had it less than a year and haven't done anything too hardcore with it other than hauling wood and landscaping stone. Seems to be holding up really well and the quality seems really well done. I've also heard good things about Texas Truck Riggins.

Whoever you go with, I highly recommend having them extend the spray on the top of the bed sides.

Just a thought...save some money and get a rubber bed mat to keep stuff from sliding around.
If your truck doesn't already have factory plastic bed rail guards, I'd add those.
Never really understood the appeal of bed liners. Truck beds are supposed to be banged up and the bed liners hold dirt, fade, and discolor anyway.

^ive always thought the same. I'd much prefer a bed mat

I had a bed mat in my last truck. I have a line-X bedliner in this one and will have one in every truck I ever own again. They are top quality with a nationwide lifetime warranty. The reason they cost more, is that they are sprayed in at extremely high heat, which also means they adhere much better and last forever. I am on year 10 with this one. It still looks great and after hauling all kinds of crap all the time, no issues. Not one, not ever.

Have a Rhino in my '09 F150. Never an issue with peeling/tearing and has maybe faded slightly over the last 7 years. I had a bed mat in my last truck and it was a pain to clean under with my tool box bolted to the bed ... I couldn't take the mat all the way out. The liner eliminated the problem for me. Will have in every truck I own moving forward. Just pick the brand that offers the lifetime warranty and has the most attractive cost. Or consider setting aside a Saturday and blasting it with some FlexSeal ... I've seen some infomercials that say that stuff can do anything!!!

$100 bed mat FTW. Can always spray it later!

UV protected Line X, the only option worth considering or worth the price. Lifetime guarantee and never fades.

I had a line X years ago and it was great. My Chevy had a dealer spray in liner and it's not stamped Line X but it looks and feels the same. Fingers crossed it is.

I've done it both ways. The thick rubber mats are nice if you're on a budget, but they don't begin to compare to a Line-X liner.

I'm going to be getting a spray in bedliner soon. Can anybody give me a ballpark figure for what a Line X would run me?
aggie_wes

450-550 last I looked. Depending on size and if you do bed caps or not.

I just can't imagine anyone who has had both mat and line-x in a truck that would truly prefer the mat. There just really is no comparison. I guess everyone uses their truck differently and has differing expectations on performance, though.

Of course if money is the issue, the mat is the way to go.

I always wait to get my bed good and scratched up before I go back in with a spray in. I had my last truck done in Waco at Pickup Outfitters for a couple hundred bucks. It wasn't any of the name brands but it held up well.

I got a Super Liner done in Victoria in 2003 and it is still in great shape. I don't think it's peeling anywhere, although there are a couple spots where something was able to scrape it all the way down to the bed. Line-X may be the best, but based on my experience, you don't have to have a Line-X to have a liner that will last years.

Another reason for a spray-in as opposed to the rubber mat is for the coverage on the tailgate.

Line-X....and if you get a smooth tool box ...Line-X. This is nine years later.

Texas Custom Outfitters in Navasota does Rhino Lining. My new F150 came with it, and I like it alot.

Texas Truck Riggins in Bryan did the liner on my old truck when I got it new in 2008. When I sold the truck in December the liner still looked great and that includes lots of abuse from farm materials like barb wire, metal/wood fence post and other heavy tools.

My new truck has the factory plastic liner but i'm not a fan of the deep grooves it has and have already talked to them about spraying a liner in June. I was always told it is better to do the liners in the summer when its warm versus the winter as it hardens better, not sure if true but makes sense.

Got my Rhino liner in 2005. 11 years, 161,000 miles later and it's still good as new, and I haul a lot of stuff and actually use my truck. Dirt. Rocks. Equipment. Mulch. Deer/blood. No gouges or imperfections. Not interested in winning any beauty pageants... my truck works.

I will definitely put another Rhino liner in my next truck... in another 100,000 miles or so.

To piggyback on this thread...

I often see spray in liners done in the entire bed. Has anyone ever had a truck liner sprayed only on the flat part of the bed and tailgate? Like where a bed mat would be, but spray in liner.

Nothing on the wheel well bumps or bed sides. Thinking of going this route on my next pick-up.

I've had Line-X and a mat in the past. I just dont see the useful benefit of a liner.
Define performance? What do you need a bed liner to do? The only thing it really does is keep your bed from getting scratched. I could care less if the bed of my truck is scratched. No one really looks in there unless they are loading stuff and even then, its a truck...its supposed to be used.

My only criteria for my trucks is something to keep stuff from sliding around and something to take an impact from throwing rocks or wood into the bed. The mat achieves this. The liner does not. Line-X liners are pretty slick and stuff will still slide on it. They also do nothing to prevent dents. In fact, I still ended up adding a rubber mat after getting Line-X. I think the Rhino is a little more "rubbery" and that would help with sliding and impacts, but Rhino also seems to tear, stain, and fade more than Line-X

Like I said, to each his own. I disagree with every point you make. The bedliner material keeps stuff from sliding, it protects the bed from dents, rust, etc, and gives complete coverage. Using a shovel is easier, I don't get black residue all over my stuff, and last and most certainly least... it looks a lot better.

All spray in liners I have seen block the bed drainage, and the bed becomes a swimming pool after hard rains. Just put a rubber mat in the bottom or a drop in liner drilled for drainage
sunchaser
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It doesn't "block" the drainage unless you have a tailgate that won't open. Park on a slight grade or drive around the block and the mass of water is gone. The front in any bed I have every had is sealed when you get it from the factory. I don't know about Chevy but it's a factory option with Ford now.

The crack...

I've only owned a truck with a bed mat. I like it for the price and protection, but beyond that - not much else to love. Dirt and debris gets trapped under neath when hauling fine materials like soil, mulch, gravel. Have to remove the mat and clean underneath. Same goes for deer blood. It likes to seep around the edges and hang in the channels of the truck bed. One other consideration...the bet mat likes to soak up the heat. Very hot to the touch in summer. I'm not sure if a spray in liner stays cooler, but that might be nice.

The is an old thread but thought I would let those that come across it know about myself and about the liner products. I am the owner/operator of Texas Fleet Outfitters and Class of 2010. We've been in business for just under 5 years and I started out spraying an "off brand" bedliner like the other local guys and I am now currently spray Rhino Lining with a Lifetime nationwide warranty. The chemical make up of these products are different and I have sprayed thousands of bed liners and the Rhino is far superior to the "off brands". I will agree with other post that the Line-X is a great product and I would love to spray their stuff but with the franchise fees they require applicators to pay it would put me out of the price range for our local area on what I have found customers are willing to pay. I hope this helps others that come across this post. If you are looking for a local Aggie to take care of your spray on liners or any truck accessory needs please stop by the store and see what we have to offer. www.texasfleetoutfitters.com

Linex xtra. A good applicator is equally as important though.
