Appears to be a $100 minimum. I tried on the large wallet and no go. Added the ID wallet and it worked.

I used it for a $27.95 item - there wasn't a limit for me, as I paid $3 for the difference out the door. The email implied the same - it said use it for $25 item, no strings attached.

That was the message I was getting until I took it over $100. I'm guessing that added a minimum.

I just tried it with a $147 order and it gave me the error message saying it is invalid.

It is a one-time use, and I wonder if they only made it active on those accounts who received the email. As in, we can only use the code if we received the email, and once we use the code, we can't use it a second time on the same account.

I googled the deal and it's on Reddit, Slickdeals, and all the other coupon cutter sites. Maybe they had to take it down if they felt it was being abused.

Since they are a sponsor, hopefully Saddleback will chime in and help you guys out.

If it's a free $25, and went viral, no wonder they took it down.

Kinda sucks for everyone; SB being taken advantage of, and customers not getting the deal any longer.

Maybe $25 off $75-100 would have been a better idea.

What they did is a form of theft, just like when you realize that the cashier at a grocery store forgets to charge you for something and you don't speak up. That's wrong and only untrustworthy people with a low level of integrity do things like that. How much is a person's integrity worth? $5? $25? As you know, it should be priceless.

I'm still confused. Does the $25 only apply to leather milk? Or can it apply to a wallet or other leather products?

So...did our orders get cancelled? That would be horse**** with no email and that's funny since those guys send so much **** via email.

I put a leather item in my cart, then the new coupon said it didn't apply to items in my cart.

I added $45 worth of leather milk, and it says the coupon in invalid. I added another $70 worth of leather milk to my cart, and it still doesn't work.

This company is officially wasting my time.

Wait, so they put up a coupon code that was anything but 'unique', and it got out, and people used it, and the company then decided to pull it? This sounds iffy.

EDIT: By iffy I mean, 'really really crappy if true'. Not intended to imply posters are liars, just to be clear.

Seems that is what happened. I'm not clear these guys know they're running a business though, their emails were all very preachy about charities, God, etc when I used to be on their mailing list.

Am I the only one that's still not clear on what happened?

Is it they have someone a generic code that was only supposed to be for them and then said person distributed it all over the Internet and their system let the code be used almost infinitely? Using context clues that's what I'm guessing, that email was very difficult to understand.

If that's the case and then they pulled everyone's orders that wouldn't be surprising. Over on the golf board we did something similar with codes to top golf that by the end had netted everyone over 50 bucks for games on their accounts. Top golf realized it, pulled all the money from our accounts, and then sent a chastising email essentially blaming us that they distributed a code that could be used multiple times by anybody rather than just once for one specific person.

Yes.

Unfortunately they seem to have a problem conveying basic information like what the coupon is actually for. The first email was confusing, and this second email was confusing as well. Apparently they are not very good at figuring this internet commerce thing out.

I don't have a problem with them canceling the code and orders. I'm just annoyed that I still can't figure out what they are doing, and the second code doesn't work either.

I just know that if I understand this thread right, it seems like a bad decision. I don't think I would mess with texags as a business owner. It is full of nice, fair and easy going people...until they feel like they've been messed with. The repercussions are swift, immensely e-violent, and unsightly.

It seems like their communications are more an attempt to be cute and less an attempt to, you know, actually communicate. That is frustrating to me.

I also think it's ridiculous to send out a discount code in today's Internet world and not assume it will be forwarded immediately. So if you want it to be limited you'd better program it to be limited on the vendor end.

Sends like this entire thing was really poorly planned/coordinated on the Saddleback end which is disappointing because I've had good customer service from their reps in the past.
