I have a large BGE and I've been thinking of getting a spider with an adjustable rig from Ceramic Grill Store. They also offer something called a PSWoo, that also raises the cooking surface, but has fewer parts. Do any of y'all have either of these setups? Would you recommend getting one, or have any advice before I order.

TIA

I'm not going to lie, my sleep deprived brain read that title, and a grill was NOT the first thing I thought of....

Glad I'm not the only one.

I have an adjustable rig and spider and rig extender. I absolutely love the versatility.

I started with the woo and upgraded to the AR later. I regretted not getting getting the AR first. The AR does everything the woo can do and more.

Do yourself a favor and just get the AR and skip the woo.

Does nobody just throw a pile of charcoal in a Kingsford and drink beer anymore?

The **** is a spider rig?

I'm glad you love it but I had the worst experience with them. Mine wouldn't stop rusting even though I seasoned and took care of it and brought it inside after use. Then it warped and wouldn't even lay flat. Tried to contact the company and all I got was crickets. Based on the bge forum this is a common occurrence.

You get more versatility out of a AR

Never used AR, but I really like the woo

1) holds platesetter, drip pan,and grate all together so you can lift the in and out as one piece (works great for reverse sear)

2) raises your direct grills to the felt line

I made a homemade 13" grate to set on top when I need more surface.

Very happy with the woo so far.

Thanks everyone For the input. WC87 that looks like a cool design, but I have sworn off anything that can rust.

Riggs now I'm leaning towards the Adjustable Rig, with the rib/ brisket package.

Mine hasn't rusted but I seasoned the crap out of it and broke it in doing 4 pork butts at once. Maybe I just got lucky with it not rusting.

You won't regret it. That's what i went with. It will allow you to pull everything out at once and also cook on multiple levels at once.

can you explain to me how you pull everything out at once with the AR? I thought that was the big advantage to the woo?

will the AR fit on a grill dome? I would guess the komado joe version would. and, if so, can you fit a brisket on the top grate or is there not enough space as the lid begins to curve around?
