Looking into an Elk hunt this year or next for my brother and I. I know someone that used Chamley Outfitting several years ago in WY for a hunt with mixed feedback. They pack you in deep into the Fitzpatrick Wilderness area in NW WY. Anyone else have any experience with this outfit or have others you would recommend?

I hunted mule deer with Lee Livingston Outfitters 2 years in a row, but the bulk of his guiding is for Elk. They are located outside of Cody, WY and a lot of the area they hunt borders Yellowstone. For their Elk hunts they pack in and camp for the duration of the hunt and you go out on horseback every day for your hunt.

I have distant relatives that are elk hunting outfitters in western wyoming. I have no knowledge if they are good, bad, or indifferent.

I haven't used these guys for their Elk hunt but I did do a 5 day mule deer hunt in the Grey's River area with them. Some of the prettiest areas I've ever seen plus it's all horseback.

Just another option for you.

I have hunted with Lee Livingsron three times and took a nice bull twice and should have taken the third one. I had great hunts. That was about 10 years ago.
