Thought the OB would enjoy seeing this. Finally, a mountain lion is caught on video in middle TN. The owner of the camera has contacted TWRA and they will come out to confirm. If you scroll through the facebook page, the guy posted another video this morning of himself at the site to prove the location.

This is the county I grew up in and have hunted my entire life. Back in 1995-96, I was deer hunting one morning and saw a mountain lion. I was way up in a tree stand and he was probably 80 yards away. I watched him through the scope of my .270 for about a minute-and-a-half until he was out of view. Outside of shooting my first deer, it's the most amazing experience I've ever had hunting. I couldn't believe it! Later that morning when my dad and I met up he asked how the morning went. I told him what I saw and he said "are you sure it wasn't a bobcat?" For some reason, my dad didn't fully believe his then 15-year old daughter. Well, about 10 years ago, he and my mom saw one so he now believes me.

Also of interest, just last month, TWRA confirmed another mountain lion sighting in Tennessee, though it was in the western part of the state.

Here in E. Tenn, people swear up and down they see "Black Panthers". Good friend of mine swears by it. I wouldn't doubt him usually, but.....
