Had some luck using buck bomb at our place in the Hill Country and also in Laredo. Seems of there are bucks in the area they definitely respond.

Nah, my wife hates it. She just prefers regular cologne for date night.

The year I killed my biggest buck I pissed on a
scrape the week I shot it. I read it in a magazine and figured I'd try it. They claimed it would piss off a dominant buck and he would visit it more often so I figured what the heck. I had never seen the buck and didn't have any pics of him, so who knows if he was checking the scrape. He was also on a doe when I shot him.

I have friends who spray it on their boots when walking to the stand. One of them claims to have had a buck follow it to the tree he was in.

I have tried it with no luck.

I have had a feeder going here in Bastrop Cnty since last June. The feeder is set up on my fenceline along heavy brush and a wet weather creek. After not seeing any deer all summer or fall last year I tried some on a couple bushes after a strong cold front. I still did not see any on camera, just hogs.

I have seen deer on the roadside within a mile in all directions of me but I can't get deer to come in.

Never shot a trophy with it, but have had decent success with Tinks.

Nice. I used to hunt the Bell Ranch just west of 95 near Sayers. It took us a while to start getting good deer out there. And then as soon as we did and 10+ years of management started producing good results, a new rancher came in and ran us off.

Anyway we found that with all the oaks in that area, a good crop of acorns would render corn feeders virtually useless. When that happened we would set up near game trails right inside the tree line and usually had pretty good luck.

I use the tinks stuff. I'm not sure if it is the reason I shoot bucks or not but I think it helps distract the deer from my scent when hunting.

Your wife's used tampons are just as effective. They're loaded up with all kinds of pheromones that bucks can't resist.

Just ask her to place them in a ziplock sandwich baggie and then hang in a tree by the string.

I thought keeping the feeder going during this drought would have brought some in.

The reason I prefer Buck Bomb versus other products like Tinks is Buck Bomb is a fogger and with a 3 m.p.h. wind, the fogger can carry a scent 1/8th of a mile easily.

We use urine sporadically... one thing we do, however, is water it down a bit. How effective or if it's really true or not, I have no idea but going to a hunting seminar a long time ago, we were talking to the pro and he talked about how most of this stuff has been sitting up for a while and is uber strong. He swore that if you diluted it down to about half strength, it didn't overpower a buck's senses and that he got more to come in that way.

One thing not to do... do not open a bottle of skunk urine in a Beall's department store... dad did that when he was a lowly assistant manager and cleared out the entire store.

I've used int early in November for the past two years and have had success drawing in legal bucks (13"). I've found the young bucks flock to it like sailors at a Shanghai *****house.

This weekend I'm going to use it in an area where I haven't had much success in years past so I'm curious to see if it will help.

Never had any luck with it. I too have pissed in a scrape and came back the next day to a fresh scrape right beside it. That seemed to be an effective approach to getting bucks riled up.

I've had luck with it. They've gotta be rutting obviously but a few drops on a cedar tree where the wind will catch it seems to work. Worst case scenario, it's just a cover scent.

One other thing...a little goes a long way.

Had a legal 8 come in hot last year. Was sitting on a pond dam. Saw him at about 200 yards. Lost him. And then he crossed into a fire lane about 20 yards from me. Walked straight towards me and cut to the right at about 10 yards. Longest 60 seconds of my life. I was standing up uncovered glassing the lane. Put the binos down and there he was. I'd imagine he was coming for the Tinks.

Knew a guy that hunted Ft. Hood that did this. Yeah, made for some odd moments and conversations at the Sportsmen Center.

I've seen bucks walk right up and sniff it when I put it on a piece of cloth in a tree.

I use it. It worked tonight with the young bucks. I consider it more of a confidence/distractant than anything but it can definitely be effective. I usually put it out on either side of me so that if a buck were to try to get downwind of me he'll hit the scent bomb before he gets to my scent. On more than one occasion a deer has turned and come to the scent effectively "saving" me from getting winded.

I've used the BuckBomb products before, Tinks69 and the Wildlife Research Golden Estrous. I like the golden estrous. Just put a little dab on an unscented tampon and voila, you even have a string to attach your scent wick to a tree, decoy, etc.

I bought a jar of I think coon piss once as a scent cover. I opened it and and immediately closed it and thru it away. That **** stunk bad.

I use tinks 69 some and I don't think it necessarily attracts deer from a distance but I think it stops them and gets there attention if they are close.

I grew up putting coon piss on my boots and doe urine somewhere in my vacinity. Only way they would smell me is if I shlt my pants.

Have used Tinks in the past and a couple of times have had very young bucks walk right up to where I put it out.

Ran Aggie Chemist's suggestion by the wife last night.......not well received. Tried to justify that it was her way of participating in our hunting operation but that made it worse......

It may be possible for it to be in the "other stuff" that's present in urine while a doe is in heat.
