Anyone have any good recs for bobcat mounts? Full body. Houston area preferred but not a deal breaker.

Jerry Huffaker in Abilene does the best work on Cats I have ever seen. He is one of the best taxidermists in the world (won the best in world award for game head this year with a superb desert bighorn mount) and he would be my first call.

Mike Billington in Georgetown also does good work on Cats, and will be a little more economically priced.

I agree with what Unearth said, Jerry Huffaker's work is unbelievable. He has a website and a FB page, so check it out yourself if you get a chance.

There is a pretty long wait period if you use him though. He has my pronghorn I killed last October, and when I dropped it off he told me it would be 10 months to a year before it was ready. However, once you see his work in person you won't mind the wait.

Mouth closed. not showing claws. A very good Taxidermist I know near Brownwood told me that Bobcats are hardest thing to make look natural. They do not "snarl", or hiss or any of that.

I've seen them treed by dogs multiple times and I've never seen one bare its teeth.

I bet if you grabbed hold of one around the neck you'd see teeth & claws.

Wheelz I've recently started doing some of my own taxidermy and I'm getting pretty good at it. I'd be glad to do one for you I've been doing a lot of cats lately and I've gotten really good at making them as lifelike as possible. You've got my number so give me a shout and I'll hook you up. Here is one I finished for a client last week and he was ecstatic about the way it turned out.

Never use Ashtin's Taxidermy in Shiner. Brought my cat in January of last year and he told me it would be Aug/Sept before it was ready. Called once a month after Sept came with no cat. For 7 months the call was always the same that he's been busy and he will have it ready in 3-4 weeks. The last call I told him to throw it in the garbage and keep the deposit which I knew I wouldn't get back anyhow

Bobcats are like Turkeys. They're hard to make look good.

Who mounts a 'possum?

Travis Manning from Manning's Custom Taxidermy in Katy is flat out awesome!

He has done work for me and has also done some work for the late Marcus Latrell and the late Chris Kyle as well.

He has done full body lions and they looked great

There is that!...

Boondocks Taxidermy in Caldwell will do a full body mount for, I think $700. Which is considerably less than some of the others. I've seen his work, he does good stuff.

Seriously, those photos are some of the best cat/dog work I've ever seen.

As I mentioned above, I think Jerry Huffaker in Abilene can do cats as good as anyone in the country. Many people send him big cats from all over the world. Here are a few I got to see in person when I was in his shop a while back.
