Used Travel Trailer recommendations

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I am looking to buy a used travel trailer to live in for 10 months while I am working at an alternate location.

I did this for about 5 months once before, but I just found a cheap one at the last minute that I lived in and sold upon completion of the tour. I didn't do much research at the time and to be honest it was a bit too heavy to pull comfortably with my F150. I think that one was about 32 ft long.

This time I would like to get something a bit newer, lighter and nicer that tows well and that we could keep around for a few years for vacations.

I need something that would pull pretty easy on the back of my 2004 F150 5.4L V8.

My initial thoughts are to look around the 25 ft range or so. I know that smaller size may get a bit tight after a few months, but I really want something that tows a bit easier that I would like having around afterwards.

Any recommendations on brands that hold up well or any that I should avoid? Should I stay away from the slide outs or is the extra space worth the moving parts and increased water intrusion risk? Is there a certain weight y'all would recommend staying under for my truck? Any other thoughts or recommendations are greatly appreciated?

I am on the east coast right now (Wash DC area), but heading to Texas to see both sides of the family for a couple of weeks in mid June, so almost anywhere in Texas would work. I will be using the travel trailer near Kansas City. If you want to post an email real quick I can send you an email to get the details from you and see if it will work for me.

I have a 2004 Pioneer Fleetwood 18T6 I'm going to list once in a couple weeks when school is out. We pull it with our expedition with no problems. I'm at school and don't have pics handy but can get them this evening.

NP-
Any idea what area you want to set up in? I can check with the brother in law and see where he would recommend based on where you are working.

Definitely get one with a slide out.

I have lived in a 33' Sunnybrook with a super slide for over 5 years traveling the O&G construction.

I would be a little more stirr crazy had I not had a little more room in the trailer with the slide out.

Mine is an alumalite structure. It is really much lighter and worth the extra $$ is you are going to travel in it much.

Also consider a full enclosure/winter package due to the Midwest winters. My fully insulated undercarriage really came in handy when the temps dropped to the teens.
