The Rock River National Match triggers are very nice.

I prefer single stage triggers so I prefer the Timney skeletonized, as well as the CMC triggers. I had an AR Gold but just didn't like the two stage.

The Rock River is pretty good for the price, but I prefer my CMC. If you go the CMC route, I recommend KNS precision pins as the stock pins and clips are pretty crappy.

You might want to look into the Bang Switch by Tactical ****. More affordable than Giesselle if that's what puts you off of them.

CMC got rid of the c-clamps, all new CMC triggers are anti-walk (but not anti-rotation) screws into the pin. Which i like more than the KNS.

Geiselle recommends NOT to use KNS because the anti-rotation can add friction affecting the trigger pull. Have not tried that with the CMC or Timneys to see if they are affected.

If someone has that set up i'd be interested to see the pull measured with a gauge with and without the KNS Pins

These are the pins CMC ships with the triggers now. Really easy to install compared to the old c-clamps.

Ar Gold or Jewell.
Both are adjustable.
I have both very good triggers not cheap but worth it!

Those new anti-walk pins look good. I can understand why Geiselle doesn't want you to use the anti rotation, but on the CMC, I don't know if it matters because it's a self contained trigger. I didn't look close enough when I installed the CMC, but I assumed the pins were inside a bushing.

Hiperfire 24C is my favorite.

Jard and JP Enterprises both make good single stage (also adjustable) triggers. Not being modular, they take a few minutes to install/adjust.

CMC is my choice on modular/drop-in.

I don't have one yet but I have shot a couple of rifles with the hiperfire 24 3G and that will be the next upgrade I do to my 3-gun rifle. I currently use the VTAC version of the Geiselle super 3 gun which is great for the up close stuff but gets in the way on the tiny little colt poppers they love to put at 300 yards shot off of a barricade.

For $80, the RRA 3.5lb Varmint trigger is pretty damn nice. Just installed one on a new build.

What is your problem with a Geissele? They are pricey, but you just but it once. Also EYEGUY is having a groupby on them

I have the CMC flat 3.5 lb single stage.

It is really, really good.

Price. $120 or so extra towards optics or ammo. And not much difference from a Geissele.

So I got an AR for christmas. Already put optics on it. next 2 upgrades are stock and trigger.

I'm doing the CTR from magpul for stock. For trigger I was leaning towards Geissele but have been hesitating due to price. I'm mostly going to use it at the range and hog hunting albeit I will only get out hunting a few times a year.

How easy is it to replace the trigger on an AR? I'm leaning towards the CMC if I don't do the Geissele.

I have a Rem 870 shotgun at home which is super easy to break down and put back together. Would it be similar to that?

thanks in advance.

I use this one.

ALG Combat Trigger

Good single-stage trigger that simply takes the USGI trigger and improves it. Drops the trigger pull significantly (at least the feel if not the weight) and smooths it out quite a bit.

Can't beat it for $66.

I have an ALG Combat on one gun, Geissele SSA on another, Geissele SSA-E on another. No comparison between ALG (which is made by Geissele) and the SSA or SSA-E. It's not even close IMO.

JP and Jewel are the two I have besides Geissle and both are excellent. I prefer the JP to the Jewel if I had to choose, but neither of those are going to save you much money from what you aren't wanting to spend.

I had a RRA 2-stage match trigger as mentioned a couple times above and it is great for the money, but not in the same league as the others I've mentioned.

+1 on the NM being good but a different league than some mentioned

Any of the ALG are great, I have the QMS on a couple of rifles, along with a few of the "other" listed too. CMC, Wilson, and RR, for the value and quality I vote ALG.

I have heard good things about the LaRue Tactical MBT-2S Trigger. I have recently purchased a LaRue Tactical PredatOBR that has this trigger. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to shoot it. Hopefully, that will happen soon.

I have a QMS on my M4. It is not a precision rifle and I didnt have a need for a precision trigger. About a million times better than factory, and for my purposes it works exceedingly well. I use it in conjunction with some JP springs.

In case y'all weren't aware, Geissele has come out with a budget line of triggers that feel just like their top-of-the line triggers. They cut costs by making a modification to hammer pin retention, as well as not doing some of the high level testing they do on their other triggers. Still great triggers, and they will stand behind them. Brownell's has them on sale recently as well.

I run the budget SSA-E, which is a brownells exclusive. Great trigger, replaced a RRA NM with it.

Last range trip with that trigger I shot a 5 round, 1.25 or so inch group at 100 with irons
