J&G Sales Link

$299 for Thompson Machine Poseidon suppressor.

Anybody have one or tried one or know about the shop that makes it?

Link with comparison to DeGroat Nano

I am trying to learn what I can about suppressors before the expense, but do these shoot through a membrane that wears out over time? They mention better during the first 3 rounds in the comparison.

EDIT now understand that "wipes" must be the membranes that are replaceable. Is that typical in all suppressors?

Thanks

Hard to know since they don't compare those two cans to others. Also they don't say what the host was (at least I don't recall seeing it listed), and what about a booster?

It uses wipes, which physically make contact with the projectile - and can affect accuracy. They also wear out and will need to be replaced regularly. The sound suppression will degrade slightly after each shot. Probably not all that noticeable at first, but it will get worse over time. Not sure how it sounds with worn out wipes - it may be good enough to make the size and weight very attractive if you aren't looking for the absolute best sound dampening.

You can pick up the tirant9 on sale in the 350 range. Meters well and has great reviews. I giggle every time I fire 147 gr thru mine. Very fun!

Get a full size suppressor unless you have a very specific use for this one. As you have learned the wipes don't last long and won't keep decibel levels very low. If you are a spy and need an ultra concealable suppressor them go for it.

Get a Silencerco Octane.

Where do you see these in stock? OOS at Silencer shop, and Capitol (which is still advertisin that price). Should have jumped in December when AAC was still running the FTM rebate.

AAC tirant 45 works great on multiple cal. Highly recommend.

I'm looking at the Octane 9 to use for 9mm and .22 . Not sure yet.

Sorry I had no idea they were out of stock. I imagine aac is ramping up for the new Illusion. Silencer shop, Capitol Armory, and QRF are my personal favorites for suppressor shopping. Silencer shop has always matched any in stock pricing I could find online though.

just ordered a tirant 45 today. you can get different pistons to throw it on to different calibers. since it's not made for a 9mm initially that will be a little bit louder than it would with a 45. better to just get different pistons than having to wait for different caliber cans to show up

+1 on the Octane 9. It was much quieter than I even expected. Especially with 147 grain.
