You can always search Dave's Deals, but like Sean said, they are worth the price. I was able to get a dark coffee front pocket briefcase for Christmas and it's better than I expected and I already own several SBL items

Fido 96 is right, the Dave's Deals is a great way to snag some great leather at a discount. The time and quality that goes into each item we make is pretty insane we don't really do discounts. Pretty sure you'll see what we mean when you see it in real life. Last Friday I went to a Mavericks game and had people stopping me to ask me about my bag. I have owned a lot of bags over the years, but never had something that made strangers want to know about it.

SBL, do you have any idea when you guys will be getting the large size front pocket backpack in tobacco back in stock?

I've been drooling over this pack for months and now i have the disposable income to purchase said bag!

Has Saddleback ever thought about using exotic leathers? Specifically a belt with an exotic leather? Make the same belt, but sew an extra piece on the outside.

I've always wanted a Saddleback briefcase and my old lady went rogue and got me a Filson (?) briefcase for Xmas. Are these comparable in quality, or am better off having her return it and getting a Saddleback?

I have had a filson bag for 5 years (weekly travel) and it still looks like new.

If you want a saddleback, get one. They dont look anything like the Filson bags.

I understand there are only a couple heading on this next truck, but it looks like we are getting back on track to start getting things re-stocked very soon. Keep an eye on the website on Tuesday/Wednesday and try to snag one!

To be honest, I don't know. We have had a lot of requests from people who want to send us the hide of something they hunted and want us to turn it into something for them, but that isn't an option. Dave knows cow leather and knows how to work with it, so I'm not sure if he'd venture outside that arena or not. I'll definitely run it by him!

Regarding Filson and Saddleback...I own both.

I have a large briefcase from Saddleback and the Filson briefcase. Both are very different but both are high quality. I've had many people comment on how much they like the Saddleback and just as many actually recognize the Filson and compliment it.

Due to the weight difference, I usually carry my Filson daily. In my opinion, can't go wrong with either. I sure wouldn't return a Filson if that is what a loved one gave me....but that's just me.

I guess I didn't want to be too "in your face" with things. As a former student myself, I think our values and brand would resonate with Ags, but at the same time haven't wanted to hit anyone over the head. If you were posting every five minutes pimping your stuff, that would be one thing. But simply responding to questions about your stuff, or even posting in other threads about other things, I'd use a link as my sig line.
