It doesn't even hardly resemble a trout. It would have been 8 lbs heavier than the Idaho state record, but the guy released it beforehand.

I'm assuming this is real and not photo-shopped since its in the news, and I believe everything I read on in the news. Link to article.

Very funny looking portly fish. Strange the way some fish put on fat/flesh. I once caught a smallmouth that barely cracked the 21 inch mark, but turned out to weigh 8 pounds. It had the 'frame' of a fish that should have been a lean, mean 5 pounds, but that extra 3 pounds got squeezed on anywhere it could fit. Sorta like that trout looks...
