How long do you want to ignore this user?

We have lots of this on our property and I'm not sure what it is. It has a very woody stem and the biggest plants are about 2.5 feet tall and maybe 4 or 5 feet across. Please share your knowledge with me, TexAgs Outdoors board!

Edit: We are located in Williamson County, north of Austin. Realized location might help after I hit submit.

The smaller plant near the base appears to be what I have always called dove weed.

One seed croton appears to be the official name. Thanks again.

No. The one in the pic is "goat weed" or wooly croton. Dove weed is a much smaller plant.

Yep, my dad and all his German friends called it "tea weed". I think they made tea, or tried to, with just about everything!

I would call it Wooly Croton.
