Eotech vs. Accupoint

How long do you want to ignore this user?
So I picked up my new LaRue tAR last weekend finally (Rule 1 compliance to come later). I had an Eotech with the Troy folding iron backup sights on my last rifle, so I pulled that off and put it on the LaRue. My initial thought was to just buy a 3x magnifier for a little longer shots, but the other thing that I do not care for too much on the Eotech is that in the bright sun and against a white target, the dot can be hard to see at times.

So, I thought about scrapping that setup altogether and going with something like the Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x with maybe an offset iron sight or dot.

Anyone have this setup or own an Accupoint that care to share experience? Thoughts on comparable scopes (Leupold VXR, Vortex, etc.)? Other suggestions that I haven't mentioned?

Mainly target shooting but also looking to get back into 3 gun. I know this was somewhat covered in BrazosDog's thread a few weeks ago, but I thought it would be less confusing if I just started a new one.

TIA

I got one of the nikon m223s. I feel like its really good quality for the price.

They have them in like 1-3x, 2-8x, 4-16 and up to like 20 or 30x

I have that and a aim point both on larue mounts so that i can switch them on and off

I forgot about the M223. I have the M308 on my LR308 and I really like it. I'll have to see how it compares to some of the others. Biggest problem I've run into is finding someone that stocks an Accupoint in Houston.
