Does anyone give their dad a fathers day gift anymore? I understand young kids give their dads something but was not sure if you continued as you've grown up?

If so what are yall giving your dads on Sunday?

My sister and i had been hit and miss with father's day gifts for a number of years. These past three or four though we have gotten him random gifts. This year we got him a print of a basic blueprint of Wrigley Field.

I haven't gotten my dad anything in years. He doesn't want anything.

But we always get together and have a BBQ or fishfry or something, so he can spend some time with his boys.

Got him one of the Magellan shirts at academy.
Just to let him know I appreciate all he's taught me growing up and all he has helped me with either financially or just because. He didn't have to, but he did.

Since we live several states apart, I usually send him something. Sent a bottle of bourbon this year. For the FIL in town, we usually take him out to lunch/dinner or to play golf.

My Dad has been gone almost 25 years now. When I was young I always got him something with Mom's help. When I was older we always did something together. Usually a baseball game. My son is offshore but I know I'll get a phone call.

Purchased a one year subscription to Amazon Prime for my pops. He orders a lot off the internet, so the free two day shipping should come in handy. The subscription to the movies and tv shows is a bonus.

Prime's a good idea. Mine is a sucker for pics of his kids/grandkids. Probably throw something together last minute :/

Hand made pen from antler. I told him he'd written plenty of checks on my behalf over the years, the least I could do was upgrade his writing apparatus.

BF got a bolt action pen for his birthday that's made of antler as well, same maker.

It will be my first Father's Day without my father. I am going to spend the day remembering him with some scotch and looking over the Tampa Bay Bucs 2-deep roster.

I am also going to package up his old Air Force flight suit and give it to my nephew. My brother and I used that thing almost every Halloween. We were "fighter pilots" for like 20 years combined!

Almost 2 yrs since my dad passed. What I wouldn't give to just spend an hour listening to his stories again...

Enjoy your time together while you can.

Brother and I got my dad a really nice camping chair he mentioned he wanted. My dad is extremely hard to buy things for. His birthday is 2 weeks after father's day so we always have a hard time finding things for him in such a short time frame. Having the last name 'Potts' we found an old 'Potts Dubuque' iron trivet that I'm pretty sure he'll enjoy because he likes antique things.

A few years ago my wife and I copied some old photos from the family hardware store (~1900-1960s) and framed them and he actually cried. Two years ago, I found an old fishing lure that was his favorite (Rapala Luck 13) and my wife mounted it in a shadow box. He's very proud of it.

My dad passed away 14 months ago at age 58 & on Monday I will be at my grandfathers (dads dad) funeral. It'll also be my first Fathers Day to my beautiful 7 month old daughter.

My two brothers and I all live in separate states so we will all be together for my grandfathers funeral so our gift is going to be able to spend the day w my mom & all visit dads spot together. All of us living in different states unfortunately means about the only time we are all together anymore is for a funeral.

POW, that's tough to read, but good that you'll be able to get together and remember the good times. Make it a tradition to get back together every so often.

Dad's been gone more than several years, but I always get a gift for my FIL who stepped in and tries to help fill the void.

This year he'll get a nice metal beer bucket full of his favorite brew and a gift certificate for a round of golf with a cart.

For past 12 years have managed to buy an extra Lot E pass so he can park and tailgate with us. With they way pricing is going currently, last year may have been the last time to do that.

I give my dad an afternoon of peace so he can sit on the couch and watch the final round of the U.S. Open. That's all he ever asks for!

Dad passed away 17 months ago at 51. Second father's day without. Just another reminder that he's gone.

He just started collecting bone and antler handle knives so I found a nice antler one for him.

Also a Fitbit. My sister's idea.
