I am looking at having a tank dug--what is a good hourly rate for a 3-4 day job?

I paid a guy $85 or $90/hr to clear off tank dams with a D6. This was in Ellis Co.

Whatever you do, don't leave the dozer at the bottom of a dry creek before it rains like my uncle.

All the dozer work I have done my self but I have access to a buddy's dozer I can get as long as I pay for the fuel.

Sounds like he is offering his services for the price of fuel.

Well, you're looking at about $75/hour before tax & insurance fees if you rent a machine for a week, plus about 6-7 gallons of diesel an hour if you're working the machine hard, then add on cost of an operator at around $15/hour. That'll get you pretty close to what you could do it for, and see if their rates are similar.
