Looking to put a mounted light on my Colt and wondered what y'all have found that you've liked. This will be for patrol purposes so I don't really need something with a 150yd+ throw, primarily 75yds and in, and good for indoor use.

Kinda looked around at the following.

Streamlight 88040

Streamlight TLR1-HL

Primary Arms Compact Weapon Light

Any other recommendations?

I can't comment on the others because I don't have any first hand experience, but I have a Streamlight on my XDm and have been very happy with it. I hear those new Streamlight HL's are super bright and that would be my choice.

HL's are a good all around weapon light. I have pretty much given up on Surefire altogether for Steamlight, but you can't beat their Scout lights in that application.

I have several and they are still the best dedicated option.

Surefire Fury. 500 lumens, $100, and it's a damn Surefire.

I have the Primary Arms and like it, it is very bright, 630 lumen I believe. It may be a little heavier than the others you are considering.

Any news on when the surefire fury weapon light comes out? The had a video on it as new for 2013(since the fury is not considered a weapon light per surefire). I contacted surefire and they said it was out. Can't find it though

The TLR1 is a great light, for a pistol. It doesn't have the range for a rifle light. When I was training in dusk conditions I noticed the light was too diffuse when shining into dimly lit rooms. Just my .02.

Whatever you get just try and keep it short, and a smaller diameter head. These things love to get hung up in slings and other gear.

What naveronski said.

I have the EAG model on my rifle. Simple, good value, and bright. Hard to go wrong.

Surefire Scout 300B in a Haley Strategic Thorntail or Dropwing mount. Light, robust, recoil-proof, minimal footprint, and a good 200 lumen beam.

Impact Weapons Components offers a package that includes your choice of Haley Strategic mount with a 300B.

I've been looking at these but have yet to lay my hands on one.

Technically it may not be, sure. Mine has ~1600 rounds through it so far with no issues. Approx 400 rounds in low light with the light activated, and no flicker/issues.

I think the P2X Fury Tactical is the weapon light of the Fury line. A single setting so you won't have issues with it bumping from high to low due to recoil.

The fury tactical is different. The weapon light version claims a different tail cap, shockproof and has a mount.

Might be overkill but was hoping to understand the price point

The only link that worked was the one for Botach...

I would go with one of the TLR's. The have a lifetime warranty, and are rated for what you want. I have a TLR-1, the old 160 lumen model that fits on a pistol, it is extremely bright in small rooms. I have also mounted it on my AR for a 3gun match. It worked well out to 75 yards shooting a UPSPA silhouette in tall brush.

The 200 lumen rifle model with the bigger reflector would actually work better in the field, but might be overwhelming indoors. the 630 model would knock your socks off.

Leaning towards the TLR-1S. On sale at Primary Arms for $88 and has 300 lumen.

I've read both positives and negatives for the 630 lumen TLR1-HL but I can't imagine 300 lumens being insufficient for an indoor active shooter situation. Being as I work dayshift 0600-1800 I'm much more likely to come across an indoor low-light situation than I would need to identify a threat at 75yds+. In those scenarios, 300 lumens would be sufficient correct?
