Two six feet tall 2" pvc posts 21' apart with a longneck bottle on top of each post. Two players per tea, both players stand by the same post. Teams take turns throwing a frisbee at the opposing team's bottle/post, attempting to knock their bottle off the post. Receiving team must catch frisbee and bottle if it falls. 1 point if the frisbee hits the ground, 3 points if the bottle hits the ground and 5 if they both hit. Each player must have a drink in one hand during the game. First team to 21 wins.

I played last weekend and really enjoyed it. Has anybody seen this before?

Learned the game in CT a couple summers ago with my wife's family up there. I owned them at their own game! lol

Yep we also called it polish horseshoes in NY. We also played if you spilled your beer trying to catch the frisbee that is a point and any catchable frisbee that you miss is a point also.

Yes. Some of my friends who tailgate at New Mexico (they don't care about the football game) play Beersbie. They have a crimson and silver bus for tail gating

Played once... it was a blast.

My cousin started a beersbie page on Facebook. Look up the name Beersbie McGee. The rules we play by are in the "notes" section

Just be careful playing! Known hazards are getting a stick in the eye and taking a bottle to the face/teeth!

I learned this game while at a wedding in Destin. We played for about 8 hours straight on the beach on Saturday, leading up the night wedding. I liked it so much that I made a set for myself and we play at our tailgate parties now.

We play at every tailgate. Always have a crowd and plenty of strays taking turns with us.

Being the upstanding tailgaters that we are, we modified the rules to (pretty much) drink for everything. Win/lose/hit/miss, you're drinking.

A couple of our neighbors in Spence have adopted the game now as well.

Appears to be a Yankee game as we learned at a Yankee-Texan wedding about 8 years ago. Made our own set of poles after that and play it a few times here and there, but mainly when we get down to the coast. I've got a buddy that likes it so much he cast some PVC sleeves in footings in his yard so he can just toss the poles in when he wants to play. We play closer to 10 yards than 21'.

I learned about this game a few weeks ago, it's a blast and cheap to build.

Great tailgating game for sure. We picked it up from a neighboring tailgate about halfway through last season.

Word of advice: Drunk people that already suck at throwing a frisbee should NOT play this game in close proximity to crowds. It never ends well. Unless you can give away alot of free booze.

We play with cans so you don't have to worry about shattered glass. And the cans are empty of beer; we just pour like an inch of sand in them to keep them from blowing off the PVC.

You just keep a beer in hand and drink while playing.

We call it Beer Frisbee and its a ton of fun!

We do the Scoring as follows:
1 Point for a missed frisbee
1 Point for dropping the bottle after the pole is hit by frisbee
3 Points for hitting the bottle on top and bottle is not caught
GAME OVER if the bottle is caught in bottom side of frisbee
