All of the recent talk on bees has piqued my interest. I'm not ready for honey bees, but I've been looking at Mason Bee Houses and thought it would be a fun project for my son and I. Recently we've built several bat houses, one screech owl house, a bird feeder and a birdhouse, so we need something else to tinker on.

It looks like I'm late this year, but do any of you guys/gals have experience placing Mason Bee houses around the yard?

I'm in Cedar Park, and I'm not certain that I've seen Mason Bees before. I assume they are here and its just a matter of providing the right resources and nesting habitat. I'd be curious if anyone has had any luck. Thanks.
