When I bought my house last year I asked for all those things (Talavera was for my wife) and thoroughly appreciated everything I got! I'm a simple man so small things I didn't have to buy we're great.

Edit...I didn't ask for those as house warming gifts. Just as gifts for other things like birthdays and Christmas.

How about a chiminea...can usually find clay handmade ones pretty cheap.

I like the idea of a nice flower pot. When you move into a new place and need to buy a bunch of them they can get kind of expensive.

Water hose. A homeowner can never have enough of them.

When I was little I thought chimeneas were outdoor urinals.

The most expensive Water hose you can buy. If there is a quality no kink hose out there I haven't found it. When you are trying to put out a small brush fire you started and your hose keeps kinking you will spend the money next time.
