For sale: Vepr 7.62x54r 20" model. $1050 here in CS. Has about 40 rounds through it. Comes with one 5 round mag EDIT: THROWING IN 100 ROUNDS IF YOU BUY IT THIS WEEK; Has a threaded muzzle with 14-1 threads, standard AK threads. Comes with a muzzle brake. These are $1,200 from centerfire systems right now.

You can use any surplus mosin ammo for it, including heavy ball. Effective range is around 800 yards so I'm told. Great for hog hunting. SGM makes 10 round magazines for these.

With a $40 adapter, you can install a regular AK stock. With the side mount, you can buy a side mounting system with picatinny rail for $25-$100.

Only rifles comparable are the PSL and Dragnov. Dragnov will cost your 3x the price. PSL's are around the same price but are not as accurate, have thinner receivers, and cannot shoot heavy ball ammo.

Yeah I'm surprised it's still here. $150 off, plus a threaded muzzle, muzzle brake and finished wood furniture (they're coming in unfinished now).

It would be an amazing hog and even deer hunting gun with the right scope. Supposedly these group 1-3 MOA depending on the ammo you use and it definitely has plenty of power behind it.

I'm interested, but all my play money is tied up in some other stuff right now. In a week or two, if it is still available, I'll hit you up.

You can get the 16.5" version from centerfire systems right now. The 20" version is $300 more. Although you're paying $150 more than the 16" version, you're getting about 200 or so FPS more out of the barrel, plus this barrel is threaded and has a brake included. Plus the furniture is finished and stippled.

If someone would take this within the next few days, I'll throw in 100 rounds of 7.62x54r

The muzzle break installed does make it tempting. Wish i had seen this last weekend because i was in town for the spring game.
