SO I went to E-Rock a while back and could never find the cave...pretty frustrating. So what trail markers do I follow and what landmarks are there so I can find this thing? What does the opening look like?

It's to the north from the summit. There are some arrows painted at the entrance. Here's a pic of it. And it's marked on this map.

right, but I used that map and could never find it...I'm not sure how to get to it from the base trail

Would be very tough to find from the base trail. However, it you just go to the top you will easily find it as the entire summit is one clean rock and the cave is in the first of the outcroppings directly North.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully I'll be able to find it this time...that will be the highlight of this next trip there
