So, Im trying to get a hold of my FFL, but my tracking info says my gun was delivered and that there was not a signature required. So...does FedEx just leave stuff like this on the porch in a box that says COLT in big ass letters or what?

Meh...the FFL isn't home yet, and its been delivered. Its supposed to require signature, but apparently they just left it. :/

my Colt was delivered to my FFL yesterday and I can't get a hold of his ass. it's killing me knowing it's in town, but not in my hands......

Id be much less concerned if I knew he had it in HIS hands rather than sitting on the porch in broad daylight.

I don't know if it's a FedEx policy, or if the sender of the gun did not require a signature from recipient. I had three shipped last week. One from UPS required a signature, the two from FedEx did not, but they were both shipped from the same retailer.

I guess it's somewhat different, but when I order ammo online I usually pay a dollar extra for the overbox to cover up the actual markings on the package. Maybe they do something like that for guns?

I am interested in this result. Please update us when you get your rifle.

If there's no signature required, they leave it at the door; the same thing they've always done. The onus is on the shipper to require signature.

Not sure about other companies, but PSA typically ships their rifles in their PSA marked box inside of a plain jane box.

I just saw a 6920 posted on texasguntrader for $750. What does NIB mean?

Hoping for the best. Next time ill use a gun store as my ffl instead of an individual with ffl. :/

I'm an FFL, and I have most guns shipped to a UPS store, where I have a PO box. does not require me to be there to sign for it. I sign for it when I damn well please.

Lol. I was just surprised that's all. Probably shouldn't be. The ups guy left 300 bucks in tools in a box in the rain yesterday.

I bought a pre 1898 black powder gun awhile back that wasn't required to go through an FFL. The US postal service just left it on my front porch and I found it when I got home. Usually they would make me go to the post office to pick up that kind of package if I wasn't there when it was delivered.

...happens all the time.

USPS and UPS do the same thing. Drivers are in a hurry and just leave guns on doorsteps, in mailboxes, and with neighbors.

FFL said it is there. I pick up tomorrow at 5pm.

I'm inclined to say, "just be glad that Fed Ex will still ship guns at all".

The way things have been going, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Libs go after UPS, Fed Ex, etc., and pressure them to not ship guns.

SAW, I think if it came to that it's time to manufacture 100% intrastate and push back against the commerce clause.

That's a chain of usurpations -type event.

Agree.

Manufacturing in state and only selling within the state would still fall under the commerce clause. It is very liberally interpreted. The argument would be it would still affect the interstate flow of goods- namely it would decrease Texas importation of them.
