GunRangeGirl has a new set of custom grips on the way as a Christmas gift. I can't wait to see them on her pistol. They are handmade Texas mesquite grips with custom laser engraving and red Ruger medallions inlaid in the middle. She came up with the design, and they are one of a kind.



I also did this set tonight. Dyed box elder burl with Texas State Seal emblems.

You don't do Ruger mk1 grips do you? I've got an old pass down 22 I wouldn't mind prettying up a bit...

I don't do the MKII grips, but I think there is a guy on Ebay that makes some nice ones.

I agree with the poster saying the Black Ash Burl looks like skulls. It reminds me of those cheesy skull paintjobs on motorcycle gas tanks.

I have grips for the Beretta 92 and SIG P238, and I can get just about anything.

The TX/WV ones are sweet!

Kind of a random question, but do you have to worry about the sterling medallions tarnishing on the grips and if so, how do you go about cleaning them and not messing up the grip? Can you pop the medallion out to clean separately, or do you just have to be careful cleaning around the edges? Or is the wood sealed such that contamination of the stain/wood isn't an issue?

civilized05- metal polish on a Q-tip would work very well for this application.

Make sure you send GRG's grips to the right address.

Sell GRG's grips to someone else. That would be awesome.
