I have a new Frontier Polymer lower...but...have it on a AR22 build. It is sturdy and rock solid. My only concern on a more powerful caliber would be cracking at the takedowns.

Todd, What is your reasoning for wanting a polymer lower? Price? Availability (maybe you have a local source)? Novelty?

If it's price, I'd suggest picking up a Palmetto State blemished lower. I have one in transit to me right now. They sell for $59.99, so the price is right, and the reviews are very good. Most people can't find the reason they are marked "blemished".

The reviews I've heard/read about the polymer lowers are favorable, but if you can get an aluminum lower for close to the same price, why not go that route?

Knowing you, I doubt your reason is for the novelty, so I just won't address that...

I have one on my hog gun. It's a beast. Some of the AR snobs will look at you funny, but it's a great little rifle that I built new for under 500.
