Would using something like JB Weld be bad?

I don't want to make fumes an issue. One of my 'legs' broke off, but I pretty much use it anyway since I can just stack it.

Otherwise, I will break down and buy a new one.

I don't know what they are made of, so can't tell you if welding is the answer.

What I can tell you is to keep JB weld as far away from high heat as possible. I found out the hard way back when I was a wee lad and decided to use some to plug a small hole in my exhaust header.

I had to drive around like Ace Ventura for a couple of days until it burned off. The fumes were absolutely horrid. You DO NOT want that contaminating your pit or your food or your back yard. Trust me.

I'd buy a new one. I'd be concerned with VOCs using any brand epoxy

I think you are going to need a new one.

I broke mine last year and had to replace it, so I know how much it sucks.

Sorry for the bad news, but it could be worse. My FIL had a whole egg fall over and shatter during transport. It's enough to bring a tear to your eye.

Broke mine the other day as well. Looking at one of the set ups from the ceramic grill store versus just a new platesetter from BGE

Can you drill it and use a stainless bolt?
