We are looking to buy a stainless steel or other well built commercial grade margarita machine for the Florida and LSU games. What is the best brand? We are looking for something in the 5 gallon and up range that will stay frozen in the September heat. Any bar or restaurant owners here have any experiences?

TIA

Not sure about buying one, but csagyo has a company that rents them.

You might check out Mr. Margarita of Aggieland if you decide to rent instead of buy.

Google search for their link. The url gets filtered out on here.

Those machines are expensive as hell. We had looked at buying one for out at the ranch, but they are $2,000 to $4,000 for a really nice one. You can rent them alot of times for that and not have to screw with maintenance/repairs. Especially when you are only going to use it 2-3 times per year.

Friends of mine in the Amarillo area. Their machines are built as juice machines, but they have a margarita mix and they rent the machines. Don't know if they sell, but give them a shot.

A family owned and operated frozen juice business. We provide machines for delicious and nutritious vitamin enriched juices. A great product and guaranteed service.

Also be aware that a commercial type unit is going to pull a ton of amps. Make sure your generator/distribution is up to the task. Not much fun when the breaker won't stay set.

All five of csagyo's machines are already rented out for the game.

So... I saw one made out of a Coleman extreme cooler and two garbage disposals. The disposal had a PVC pipe that recycled it to the top. It would run you $200 and you would have the coolest thing I've ever seen

There was a thread on here recently about a homemade version like Shumard mentioned. Looked awesome, but would not do anything (besides insulate) to keep it cool.

My neighbor bought a soft serve ice cream machine at a resteraunt auction. Replaced the compressor with a stronger one and turned it into a margarita machine. Made 5 gallons at a time and they were awesome.

We use Bunn slushy/margarita machines in our ice cream stores.

They have been fairly reliable, given the usual issues w. those types of machines.

I just sold a Taylor brand stainless that was exactly like you were looking for and jaust as somebody said they are expensive, I sold mine for $2400. I used to rent it out for $150 a day or $275 for 2 days, which if you are really only looking for 2 big events a year I would rent 1 instead of buying 1. They weigh around 275 lbs,you need a $175 rubbermaid cart to roll it around to your area, it needs it's own dedicated elec. outlet as it has the flat spade for 1 of the plugins for a 20 amp not 15 power outlet( I just made a pigtail to a 15 amp and never had any problems).Renting 1 for those games would be my choice. And to answer your question about being able to freeze in outside temps in the 80's and 90's - the Taylor can have your margaritas slushy in about 25 mins. ready to serve in those temps.

Howdy Guys! I do have 5 machines for rent. Our base price is $115. That gets you the delivery, the 1st mix, 50 cups a salt rimmer, setup and pickup/cleanup. each additional mix is $25.

Our machines have your beverage ready in 1 hr or less.

New they run $3200 plus for the commercial grade.

We have 4 of our 5 machines rented for LSU game already and the last machine is on hold (altho I feel he won't rent it)

We have 2 reservations for every other home game this year.

LSU will be legendary!!!!!

We offer close to 20 flavors (if not listed on our website ask, we can probably get) and 29 recipes to choose from.

a 2nd day runs an additional $75 plus extra mixes. Some recipes make 4 gallons, some make 5.

Every recipe can be made normal or panty dropper strength

Frosty machines stay frozen outdoors no issues. in the heat of sept it may take 1.5 hrs to freeze. best to keep shaded for optimum performance.

If you get you own machine ,we sell just the mixes too.
