How long do you want to ignore this user?
I recently purchased a 60+ year old Willett Wildwood cherry wood china cabinet that my wife wanted. It has some nicks and scratches that can be fixed, but before I do that I need to clean it. The cabinet sat in a garage for who knows how many years and now has caked on dust/grime that is as stubborn as I am.

Any recommendations about cleaning products that will do the job and not harm the wood or the finish?

***Outdoor related because it is made of wood.

When I have something that needs to be cleaned, I always give the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser a try...not sure what kind of Area 51 material these things are, but they clean the snot out of everything.

Mineral Spirits 2 parts and Boiled Linseed Oil 1 part.

Antique dealer friend of mine only uses 0000 Steel Wool and Gojo Hand Cleaner. I have used it several times and it works great.

DO NOT use the magic erased. I used one on what appeared to be Crayon on my breakfast table and it damaged the finish.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I am going to try Murphy's Oil Soap and if that doesn't work go with the steel wool and GoJo.
