After trying (and failing) to convert my Surefire M951 weapon light from a 60 lumen incandescant to 493 lumen LED, I decided I'd give the new Streamlight TLR-1s HP a try. I picked one up from GT Distributors on my way home yesterday for $114 plus tax.
Here's a pic of the light installed on my AR:

And here's a pic of the beam at night:

At 46,000 candelas and 200 lumens I'm pretty happy with this light. It is MUCH brighter than my Surefire was and more powerful than the TLR-1 that I have mounted on my night stand pistol. While using the forward grip it is easy to utilize both momentary and constant on with the use of my thumb. The only thing I'm not thrilled about is the size and shape of the bezel. It's 2.5 inches in diameter and cone shaped. I wish it were a little smaller and shaped differently. That doesn't bother me too much though.
It gives exactly the kind of light output I was looking for and the run time is approximately twice that of the Surefire I had on there before. It has a strobe mode I haven't and probably won't use, but that feature is available for those who wish to utilize it.
I'm not really a light guy, but I'd give it an 8 out of 10 for my needs and I'd certainly recommend it to someone in the market.
